Some (more) favorites. A combination of things that are (not) relevant to my current work and things that I just think are quite neat :-). Some of these are hinted at in the "Potpourri" section at the bottom of the about me page. These can serve as conversation starters, if you'd like. It is by no means an exhaustive list. For your viewing pleasure, I have not bothered to organize it in any way :). Best just to scroll through and see what catches your eye.
Cities and Ambition. Great cities attract ambitious people. You can sense it when you walk around one... The surprising thing is how different these messages can be.
Boston Directory. A Boston Directory from a friend of mine. Significantly better than the next one.
One Punch Man. What drives passion? Some argue that people fall in love with their subjects because they are naturally good at it, so external stimuli reinforce them to persue it. Conversely, I think I like math because I'm not naturally gifted at it and I like to think hard about puzzles. One Punch Man seems to suite my perspective on this.
Aliens?
Of Miracles and Men. Soviets being granted permission to leave the country and play in the US. This was the true miracle -- Slava Fetisov ought to be celebrated.
Cowboy Bebop. I want to reinvent myself every once in a while.
Sonny Boy. Coming out of your shell. Drifting.
032c. Whatever art is, this is art.
Rat. I fell for circuit boards, rocket ships, and pictures of the stars. If only you could be what you pretend you are.
Evangelion. Why do you pilot the Eva? (I try not to consume short form content like reels, tik-toks, shorts, etc. But when I do, it is almost exclusively hockey related or Evangelion brain rot XD)
Ray Tracing. I wish I knew more about this realm of graphics.
SeniorMars. This guy got me into Linux stuff. I emailed him once. Wonderfully nice person :)
Four sisters in Ancient Rome. Basis for the Cambridge Latin Course... How often do you think about the Roman empire? Rome. City of the Great Empire. Rome. Legacy Spreads Like Fire. So much invented so much acheived. Can't you see how Rome affects your society?
Human's need not apply. Ahead of its time. What is the human relationship with automation? What is our specific relationship with the next iterations of AI and robotics.
Bullshit Jobs. Flunkies, Goons, Duct tapers, Box tickers, and Taskmasters.
